What PayFluency is

PayFluency is a free calculator and education tool designed to help UK professionals understand approximate take-home pay, pension sacrifice, RSU vesting and bonus income. Results are estimates for planning and educational purposes only.

Not financial, tax, legal or payroll advice

Nothing on PayFluency constitutes financial, tax, legal or payroll advice. The calculations are based on publicly available HMRC rules and published thresholds for the current tax year, but they are not a substitute for advice from a qualified accountant, tax adviser or financial planner.

Why actual payroll may differ

Your actual take-home pay is calculated by your employer's payroll software using information specific to you. Figures shown on PayFluency may differ from your payslip for reasons including, but not limited to:

  • A non-standard tax code issued by HMRC
  • Employer treatment of pension contributions (relief at source vs salary sacrifice)
  • Taxable benefits in kind (car, healthcare, etc.)
  • HMRC adjustments, underpayments or overpayments carried forward
  • Timing of payroll runs, irregular pay periods or mid-year changes
  • Scottish income tax rates (PayFluency models England, Wales and Northern Ireland)

Your responsibility

You are responsible for verifying any figures that matter to you — with your employer's payroll team, HMRC or a qualified adviser. Do not make financial decisions based solely on estimates from PayFluency.

Accuracy

We make reasonable efforts to validate our calculations against known cases and to keep thresholds up to date. However, we make no guarantee of accuracy and accept no liability for decisions made in reliance on figures shown here.

Acceptance of these terms

By using PayFluency you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the calculator.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated as the product develops. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
